Ascent of Safed is unique in bringing together a wholistic experience in Jewish awareness which stimulates both the mind and soul of today's thinking Jew. We are an exceptional vehicle for the daily vital encounter between Jewish past and future, but we cannot do it alone. We hope that you will chose to join us in this integral and rewarding job of spreading the wellsprings of Jewish life today.

Ascent is the only organization in Israel offering short-term programs on a regular basis outside of Jerusalem to English speaking visitors on that once-in-a-lifetime trip to Israel, since 1983. In addition, it offers the longest running education program for Russian immigrants yearning for the heritage that was denied to them. Now, even Israelis, who often do not know where to turn, even in Israel, are able to tap into Ascent's programs. With the largest volume of unaffiliated Jews passing through its doors than any other single Jewish outreach facility in the world, Ascent is making a real impact.

Last winter, Ascent embarked upon its first Capital and Endowment Campaign, with $2,000,000 as the overall goal to raise in the next two years. This will culminate in the expansion of both Ascent's educational programming and physical facility. G-d willing, the final result will include:

  • An expanded and improved educational program in English, Russian and Hebrew for new audiences and more students; plus ongoing instructional exhibits
  • An expanded and improved facility with an auditorium seating 120 people, a dining room with seating for 220, an enlarged Jewish Multi-Media Center and Library, and additional dormitory rooms, classrooms and public spaces.
